This community-oriented retreat will be held on the “Earthstar” property in Warner Valley, California in the shadow of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains. The set-up is quite rustic – much of the retreat will be held outdoors in the elements.
Accommodations include 8-10 person hexayurts with composting toilets and outdoor showers. We’ll have access to nature and trails as we explore our connection to the earth and each other. Participants should be prepared to be outdoors in the sun and wind – the land will serve as our meditation hall and home for the days we’re together.
We will practice formal sitting and walking meditation, relational mindfulness activities, and have engaged conversations about how mindfulness can support us as leaders and collaborators for working towards positive change. There will also be opportunities to explore the surrounding area on walks and hikes.
This retreat is for young adults, ages 20-32. We greatly encourage iBme teen retreat and wilderness retreat alumni to join us for this special retreat.
